Check-In
Please arrive 1 1/2 hours prior to ceremony start time to accommodate a brief meeting with your area supervisor. Please make sure you make proper arrangements to allow for travel time and possible traffic delays.
Assignments
Staff members working the 2012 Commencement Ceremonies will be given pre-assigned duties for each day. Assignments will be handed out at the staff information sessions on May 1st from 9-10am and May 3rd from 2:30-3:30. There may be an additional information session for volunteers working the field. This session will take place on May 17th time TBD. Assignments may include graduate check-in, graduate line up, or the distribution of programs and information. Please plan on attending one of the information sessions.
Working Hours: Friday, May 18, 2012 - 9-1pm OR 3-7pm.
Saturday, May 19, 2012 - 7:30-5:30pm
Please note that end times are approximate times. Shifts will end when ceremonies conclude.
Attire
Commencement polo shirt with dress slacks or khakis (NO JEANS) with comfortable shoes. You may want to bring your own bottle of water, a hat, etc. Please don't forget your sunscreen!
Refreshments
Light refreshments during breaks will be provided for faculty and staff participating in the ceremonies. There is an optional lunch for volunteers on both days. Supervisors will coordinate lunch and breaks. Lunch will be served in the Clarke Field House Grand Salon for the platform party, faculty members, administrators and Commencement staff participating in Friday and Saturday ceremonies.
