Thank you in advance for participating in this year's Commencement ceremonies on Friday, May 17, 2013 and Saturday, May 18, 2013. As you already know, your role is a critical component in making the celebration of our students' accomplishments a success.
A Few Important Items:
Work Schedule:
- Friday, May 17, 2013 - 9-1pm OR 3-7:30pm
- Saturday, May 18, 2013 - 8am-5:30pm
Please note that end times are approximate times. Shifts will end when ceremonies conclude.
Ceremonies:
May 17, 2013
- 10:30am - COBA
- 4:30pm - CoEHHS
May 18, 2013
- 9:30am - CHABSS
- 3:00pm - CSM
Refreshments:
Refreshments will be provided on site
Compensation:
Responsibility of the employee's unit, in accordance with the respective collective bargaining agreement (e.g., for non-exempt employees, either by cash compensation, compensatory time off or adjusting the employee's regular work schedule within the work week in which Commencement is held-please contact HREO if you have questions).
Approvals:
Supervisor must approve staff member's request to work the event to ensure authorization for overtime compensation (if appropriate).
Parking:
All staff are asked to park in Parking Structure 1
Note: We plan to provide Commencement logo shirts to new Commencement staff for this year and for those who didn't receive one last year.
