Catherine Armas-Matsumoto earned her B.A.in Communication at CSUSM in 2000, CSUSM and her M.A. in Communication at San Diego State University in 2003. With interest in Organizational and Intercultural Communication, Ms. Armas-Matsumoto worked as a communication consultant assisting organizations with communication audits, diversity training and small group development. Since 2005 she has taught as an adjunct instructor for CSUSM and Palomar College. Currently in the dissertation phase of her Ph.D. in Education at Capella University, Professor Armas-Matsumoto’s doctoral research examines the use of effective communication skills during internships as a means for students to gain social capital.
