Jennifer Mellow (M.A. San Diego State University, B.A. CSU Northridge) began teaching at CSUSM in Fall 1998. She began as a part time lecturer while working in marketing and business management. Since 2011, she has taught GEO 102, Oral Communication, full time. She has served the University on a variety of committees, and worked with Lecturers and the Provost's Office as the first Lecturer Liaison.

Her personal research interests include game theory, cognitive psychology, and creating significant learning experiences. She is known to be an enthusiastic and supportive instructor for first-year students.
