Healthcare Leadership: What the Health is Happening to America, Nov. 5

The Center for Leadership Innovation and Mentorship Building (CLIMB) presents Dr. Nick Yphantides on Thursday, Nov. 5, from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. in Markstein Hall 125.

Dr. Nick was a medical director with the largest network of community clinics for nine years. After an extensive career of leadership in medicine, he experienced a personal transformation that brought him into the forefront of the effort toward healthcare reform. He is the executive medical consultant for San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency and has been featured in a variety of national media such as Reader's Digest, NPR, CNN, and People Magazine.

Dr. Nick published My Big Fat Greek Diet, a book that outlined his journey through a 270-pound weight loss. He will speaking about his leadership experience in the healthcare industry, the challenges of healthcare reform, and the influence of his personal transformation on his career.
