Partner of the Year Award
With a strong and unwavering commitment to serving the public good, the University’s president — Karen S. Haynes — and her senior administrative team encourage a “culture of partnership” that guides the work and planning of the institution and engages faculty, staff, and students in the community in as many creative and productive ways as possible. At the same time, this culture of partnership stresses the importance of its many and varied community partners, and values and recognizes the enormous contributions that organizations all across the region make toward advancing the quality of life in North San Diego County and beyond.
For these reasons, Cal State San Marcos annually presents the Partner of the Year Award to a community organization that demonstrates the spirit of collaboration and community engagement in addressing regional issues of mutual or broad-reaching concern.
Past recipients include:
- 2011: Kaiser Permanente Southern California
- 2010: City of San Marcos
- 2009: City of Temecula
- 2008: Palomar Pomerado Health
- 2007: San Marcos Unified School District
