| Student Email Account Guide
Getting Your Email Account
All registered CSUSM students receive an email address.
To obtain your email address, please bring a valid picture
ID and your Student Campus ID number to any of the campus Computing Labs and a lab monitor will
assist you.
If you do not have your Student Campus ID number,
please contact Registration
and Records.
Your CSUSM username is used to make
up your email address (i.e. First 5 or less characters of
your last name and 3 auto generated digits, like [smith001@csusm.edu]or
[may001@csusm.edu)
WebMail
Students use WebMail to read or send email. WebMail
is located at http://webmail.csusm.edu/.
Type in you CSUSM username and password into the Log In
box provided.
If you have not received your CSUSM
username, please bring a picture ID to any of the campus
Computer Labs and a lab monitor will
assist you.
Distance Education Students
Distance Education students taking online
classes, can contact the Student
Technology Help Desk (sth@csusm.edu
or call 760.750.6505). Provide your first and last names, the online course
you are taking and your Student ID number. Your username and password
information will be provided after we verify your identity (this usually
takes less than 4 hours during a normal business day).
Forwarding Your Email
By forwarding
your campus email to another address, you will receive
all new messages addressed to your campus email address
at your preferred, non-campus email address (i.e. Hotmail,
Yahoo, SBC, Cox, etc). To forward your email go to
the
Email Forwarding Page.
Mailing Lists (Listservs)
To create a new mailing visit the Adding/Maintaining
A CSUSM Mailing List (ListServ) page.
To subscribe to a mailing list, please visit the Mailing
List Subscription (ListServ) page.
