Suicide Prevention Week

Student Health & Counseling Services is providing a week of events - "Think Globally, Act Locally" - in which to honor lives list to suicide, give hope to survivors, and offer support to suicide loss survivors.  A Suicide Prevention Resource Fair will be held on Kellogg Plaza on Thursday, September 11th, from 11AM-1PM.  "Question, Persuade, Refer", suicide prevention training, is offered on Friday, September 12th, from 9-11AM in ACD 405.

Veterans Center Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Come and celebrate the opening of our new Veterans Center (located behind Science Hall I and across from Markstein Hall) on Tuesday, September 23rd, at noon.  The Marine Corps Band, Chancellor White, and other special guests will be on hand for the ribbon cutting.  Come on in the new Center and meet the staff and your fellow student-veterans during the Open House that follows.

Major and Minor Fair

Undeclared?  Unsure if you have picked the right degree program?  Want an opportunity to meet faculty and staff from your college?  Stop by the USU Ballroom on Tuesday, September 30th, from 11:30AM-1:30PM and meet representatives from the colleges to obtain information about CSUSM majors and minors.

Enlisting A Nation: American Visual Propaganda of World War I

The Context: Library Series will feature a special collection of historical posters to commemorate the 100th anniversary of World War I.  Display dates are September 8th through December 18th in the Kellogg Library 3rd Floor Gallery.  Free and open during library hours.  There will be an open house on Thursday, September 11th, from 11AM-1PM.  Other events related to this exhibit include A Time Capsule of Music: 1900-1930 on Tuesday, October 28th, at 7PM in ARTS 111 and Faculty Perspectives on World War I on Tuesday, November 18th, in the USU Ballroom at 6PM.  For more information, please email
