Orientation and New Student Programs
Our office has moved! You can now find us in the Student Life and Leadership Office located in University Student Union 3600.
Welcome to CSUSM!
Orientation and New Student Programs assists all new CSUSM students in the transition to our campus community. The process starts upon admission and Orientation and continues through your entire first year at CSUSM. We want you to feel a part of our community!
Have you been conditionally admitted to CSUSM for Fall 2015?
Orientation reservations for Summer 2015 sessions will be available starting on the following dates:
Transfer Students: Reservations can be made now in MyCSUSM.
First Year Students: Reservations can be made now in MyCSUSM.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Emails recently were sent to First Year Students (First Time Freshmen) notifying them about Orientation reservations. Students who have had their EPT/ELM scores submitted to CSUSM mistakenly received a message stating that the scores have not been received. We apologize for this confusion. In order to verify if scores have been received (thus providing access to the Orientation reservation system) students should do the following:
-Log into MyCSUSM
-Check the Student Center for any holds
-If the language "Remediation Enrollment Block" appears under the "Holds" section on the right hand side, this means that scores have not yet been received. If a student does not see this under the "Holds" section, this means that scores have been received and they will not be prevented from reserving an Orientation.
-View this checklist to review what other requirements may prevent a student from reserving an Orientation.
