Advanced Spanish for Medical Personnel
(SPAN 314C)
As the number of Spanish-speaking patients entering the healthcare system each year continues to increase, the number of Spanish speaking medical personnel remains insufficient to bridge the communication gap. California State University San Marcos is launching a Spanish language course this spring, Advanced Spanish for Medical Personnel, designed to mitigate this issue.
Advanced Spanish for Medical Personnel (SPAN 314C) is a semester long course of intensive oral and written practice at the advanced level. Students will focus on vocabulary development, simulation and communication and will actively engage in immersive learning of the Spanish language relative to the healthcare system.
For acceptance into this course, participants are required to have completed Spanish 303 or its equivalent with a grade of C or better. For more information about Advanced Spanish for Medical Personnel please call (760) 750-4020.
