Pink Panther cartoonist Eric TeitelbaLrrn will teach art workshops for kids ages 9 to 16 this month as part of a series at Cal State San Marcos (CSUSM) Extended Learning. Teitelbaum will introduce a variety of drawing techniques in courses titled Funny pictures: Cartooning for Kids and Introduction to Fine Arts: Realistic Drawing. The cartooning workshop, held from 9 am to noon August 4-6, will focus on the many elements of cartoon drawing, including faces, expression, movement, animal characters, super heroes, and humor writing. The realistic drawing course will cover charcoal, watercolor, and pen and ink with step-by-step drawing lessons. This class will be held August 4-6 from 1-4 pm. The three-day young artist workshops offered in the six-class summer series will meet at the CSUSM campus.
