San Marcos, Calif. – As training budgets slowly diminish, Cal State San Marcos Extended Learning recognizes the need of local businesses to offer targeted training courses for their employees. Extended Learning is filling this need by offering Onsite/Customized training resources to help businesses achieve their educational and organizational challenges.
Cal State San Marcos Extended Learning is able to customize any program in their current catalog as well as create new programs to meet the specific needs of the organization or business. Programs can be tailored to any business and are offered in a variety of formats including half days to on-going organization initiatives. Cal State San Marcos Extended Learning also offers an excellent selection of resources and consultants to assist organizations in determining their unmet training needs. The programs are facilitated by a combination of faculty, independent consultants and working professionals to ensure that theory and real world applicability are combined to make the information immediately relevant.
“The business environment changes at a rapid pace and the challenge of anticipating the future training needs within an organization can prove to be a daunting task,” says Cathy Dellas, Sr. Director of Workforce Learning and Community Outreach at Cal State San Marcos Extended Learning. “With our Onsite and Customized programs we assist businesses in not only determining their training needs but also with the implementation of the programs that will benefit their company the most.”
The facilitators of the Onsite/Customized programs invest the time necessary to learn about each organization and their specific program objectives. This commitment to reviewing each organization’s unique needs, ensures that Cal State San Marcos Extended Learning can deliver the method and program content that will result in the achievement of an organization’s goals while also improving the skill and morale of the workforce.
In an effort to offer San Diego businesses assistance with funding for training programs, Cal State San Marcos Extended Learning has partnered with California Manufacturing Technology Consulting (CMTC). CMTC is able to assist companies with securing funding from the Employment Training Panel (ETP) to offset the cost of providing high-quality, customized training solutions. Training may include classroom training as well as practical hands on training provided at a worksite using actual work tasks that apply to a particular work environment.
