San Marcos, California, October 19, 2010 – California State University San Marcos (CSUSM) at Temecula has announced the launch of two new business degree programs - a new Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA).

The College of Business Administration, in partnership with Extended Learning, is now accepting applications for both degree programs. The new programs, which are pending final approval from the CSU Chancellor’s Office and the CSUSM Academic Senate, are designed to give students the skills they need to be successful in the business world by balancing theory and application.

The BSBA will serve to prepare students for entrance into some of the finest companies in the region and abroad. The undergraduate program’s curriculum encompasses professional training, writing skills, presentation skills and group work skills. Classes for this program will begin in January, 2011.

The objective of the MBA program is to provide graduates with the skills and knowledge essential for management and leadership in 21st century organizations. The curriculum is designed for those employed in either private or public sector. Classes for this program will begin in August, 2011.

Designed to be completed with just two (2) years of fulltime study, the programs will use a cohort approach, and thus students will benefit from immediate peer support, individualized attention from faculty and staff, guaranteed placement in courses, guaranteed time to completion, and small class sizes.

“Providing new business programs in the Temecula region gives the area’s residents increased access to a quality business education,” says Dennis Guseman, Dean of the CSUSM College of Business Administration. “The College is pleased to have this opportunity to further our reputation for delivering rigorous and relevant programs. We do so in San Marcos and plan to do the same in Temecula.”

Information Sessions for the BSBA and MBA programs will be held on Monday, October 25 and Tuesday, November 16 from 6 to 7:30 pm at CSUSM at Temecula (43890 Margarita Road). To RSVP for an Information Session, call (800) 500-9377.
