How to Apply
Permission to register for courses in the Professional Certificate in Accounting is contingent upon verification of:
- A completed Bachelor's degree.*
- Successful completion of all required pre-requisite courses.
All courses in this program have pre-requisites. Please carefully read the course descriptions for the courses for which you wish to register to learn which pre-requisites you need to have completed. If you did not complete your undergraduate coursework at CSUSM, please consult this list of pre-requisites to help determine if you have completed equivalent courses at other institutions.
*Senior standing with relevant background knowledge considered on a case-by-case basis.
To apply, please submit:
- A Professional Certificate in Accounting program application
- Official transcripts showing degree conferral and completion of required pre-requistite courses, mailed or hand-delivered to:

Transcripts must be received by CSUSM in sealed envelopes from the institutions. It is acceptable for you to send in transcripts which you have received from your previous college/university, but the official seal on the envelopes must not be broken.
You will receive registration permission and instructions after your transcripts have been evaluated.
