Computer Graphics and Design Track 

Develop an understanding of electronic design fundamentals with an emphasis on print media. From advertising layout and special effects, illustration to brochure design and pre-press theory, you’ll gain knowledge of contemporary design theory and develop technical skills for integrating text and images to create compelling design solutions.

How to Earn a Certificate:

Successfully complete the seven, one-day classes in your chosen track. Note: Four core classes are common to both tracks, so you may earn a second certificate by completing only three additional classes.  

Students are required to attend every class in the program which is monitored with a signed class roster. Students are required to complete in-class exercises to ensure successful completion of the learning objectives for that class.

INTRODUCTION TO ELECTRONIC LAYOUT: ADOBE INDESIGN I

Learn the latest techniques in electronic page layout. Topics include:

  • Importing text and graphics
  • Typesetting
  • Color management
  • New document construction
  • Using InDesign palettes
  • Working with objects and layers

Students will learn the skills needed to design and create effective layouts for a variety of corporate print applications.
