Web Page Design Track

The exponential increase in Internet communications and e-commerce requires the designer to develop new competencies and skills. In this track, you’ll get an introduction to the latest techniques for designing and building dynamic Web sites using search engine optimization the latest Web editor, graphics software and current navigational theory. You’ll be well on your way to creating the Web site you’ve always dreamed of!

How to Earn a Certificate:

Successfully complete the seven, one-day classes in your chosen track. Note: Four core classes are common to both tracks, so you may earn a second certificate by completing only three additional classes.     

Students are required to attend every class in the program which is monitored with a signed class roster. Students are required to complete in-class exercises to ensure successful completion of the learning objectives for each class.

Course Descriptions

INTRODUCTION TO DREAMWEAVER

Learn basic page-building techniques with Adobe Dreamweaver. Topics cover design theory, Dreamweaver environment and tool bars, text formatting and layout, and integration of graphics. Students will gain an appreciation for the speed, ease and efficiency of using Dreamweaver for effective page building.

ADVANCED DREAMWEAVER

Learn to use advanced features of Adobe Dreamweaver to design a polished Web site. Topics include:

  • Advanced design theory
  • Forms
  • Scripts
  • Site maintenance

By the end of the program students will publish a finished Web site project to an Internet server for online review and critique.

Prerequisite: Introduction to Dreamweaver
