The Meeting & Event Planning Certificate program focuses on the planner's practical "need to know" tools and skills. Participants may elect to attend individual courses that meet their needs and interests or complete six core courses, three Career Perspective classes and a program project to earn the Certificate of Completion. Because each course is just one day, the certificate can be completed in a single semester!

Planning green meetings and events is not just a buzzword or catchy phrase. As more organizations and individuals seek the economical and ecologicalbenefits of green events, a legitimate expertise in planning sustainable events will be in high demand for the foreseeable future.

This course is appropriate for either a novice or experienced planner or supplier who is not yet familiar with what constitutes a green meeting or event. Specific topics to cover include: Fundamental Sustainability - Vendor Sourcing - Certification, Rules and Regulations - Various Types of Green Events- Green Communications - Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
