Communicative Sciences and Disorders Preparation Program
California State University San Marcos Extended Learning is now offering a fully online CSD Preparation program to prepare students for a Master of Arts in Education, Option in Communicative Sciences and Disorders (CSD). The CSD Prep program is designed for individuals missing all of the prerequisites for the Masters of Arts in Education with an option in Communicative Science Disorders program. Priority admission is given to those applicants who have not completed any of the prerequisites upon evaluation. Those applicants who have completed one or more of the prerequisites will be placed on a waiting list and ranked based on the number of prerequisite classes they still need to complete. Should space become available in the preparation program after the priority admissions cycle is completed, these individuals may be offered a spot in the preparation program. We strongly recommend that any individuals who have completed 1 or more of the prerequisite courses explore completing their remaining prerequisites as a non-matriculated student. See Non-Cohort Course Options for more information.
The CSD Preparation Program is a full-time cohort program. In order to be eligible to participate in this Program, students will be required to take specific, chronological courses beginning Spring 2015.
Beginning in Spring 2015, this program is NOT eligible for financial aid. We are working diligently with the Chancellor's Office to determine financial aid eligibility.
Students will be able to waive only one course throughout the program. Students will need to submit their transcripts in order to waive the one course.
Students who apply and complete all of the CSD Prep Program courses will receive a University Communicative Sciences and Disorders Preparation Certificate.
Applications for the Spring 2015 CSD Prep Cohort are now open. Applications must be received by December 1st, 2014 to be fully considered.
