Mistakes Into Opportunities

Strategic Meeting Management
Having a pro-active approach to hotel contract negotiations is one of the cornerstones of the Strategic Meeting Management (SMM) initiative. This includes an emphasis on risk reduction and cost avoidance, as well as value-added concessions. Meeting planners must understand the new market dynamics and have a specific negotiations plan for each meeting.
In this interactive workshop, attendees will learn about the many variables that influence hotel availability, pricing, contract terms, and how to effectively assess their leverage and spend for maximum results. Risk reduction and cost avoidance has become a critical metric to validate Strategic Meeting Management outcomes.
Facilitator: Robyn M. Mietkiewicz, CMP, CMM, is a Director, Accounts & Global Meeting Management Services, at Meeting Sites Resource (MSR)
