Courses & Certificates
Extended Learning offers a wide range of credit and non-credit classes, degree programs, certificates, and courses that provide you with the training you need to achieve your academic and professional development goals, acquire a new skill or pursue a special interest.
Our for-credit courses allow you to accumulate credits towards a college degree or certificate, and are available on campus and online. These range from the CSD (communicative sciences disorders) and IB (International Baccalaureate) authorizations for teachers to the Healthcare Information Technology (HIT) certificate. Credit –based courses in Extended Learning are designed to accommodate the schedules of working professionals by meeting on weekday nights and/or weekend days.
Our non-credit certificate courses and programs allow you to hone your expertise and training in a specific discipline such as Legal Studies, Meeting & Event Planning, Supervision and Management, Human Resources, or Digital Arts. Of special interest are the professional development online programs and our certificates in Biotechnology, Operations Resource Management and Environmental Leadership which prepare students to reach the next level of success in their careers.
Extended Learning, in partnership with the four colleges at CSUSM, offers a variety of self-support degree programs to meet the educational needs of citizens in North County San Diego, Southwest Riverside, and beyond.
