Open University Certificates
Open University certificate programs enable individuals to earn a University certificate by completing a prescribed course of study via the regular Open University program. These certificates carry resident credit and classes taken may be transferred to other universities and colleges.
Current Open University Certificate Offerings:
Biotechnology Laboratory Technician Certificate
The Biotechnology Laboratory Technician Certificate consists of five classes (16 semester units) and a seminar series. It is designed to provide you with the skills necessary to secure entry-level positions as biotechnology lab technicians or research assistants. The program curriculum provides an overview of the industry and the functions of biotechnology and pharmaceutical laboratories in research, manufacturing, and quality control.
