Program Requirements
Participants in CSUSM's ASD AA program must hold a valid Preliminary or Clear California Mild/Moderate Education Specialist, a Learning Handicapped credential, or be eligible for the preliminary credential prior to recommendation for the ASD Added Authorization.
The ASD AA courses may be considered part of the coursework for completing the Clear Education Specialist program or part of a Master of Arts in Education at CSUSM. To determine whether you have already completed the ASD AA coursework you simply need to complete the process for granting the ASD AA and contact the College of Education's Student Services Center.
