California State University San Marcos Extended Learning offers a variety of additional certification options for credentialed teachers.
California Supplementary Authorization in Computer Concepts
The only completely online CSA in the state of California!
Regardless of where you live in the state, you may now fulfill CSA requirements by completing (grade 'C' or better) these four, 3-unit, graduate-level courses in Computer Concepts and Applications, offered collaboratively by the College of Education and Extended Learning.
Advanced Study in Science Teaching
The Certificate of Advanced Study in Science Teaching is awarded to teachers that obtain a minimum of 'B' grade in each of the 4 required (3-unit graduate level) courses and complete an Action Research Project (part of EDST 610 class requirement).
What is a California Supplementary Authorization (CSA)?
Obtaining a CSA adds additional value to your California Teaching Credential and may qualify you for additional pay!
