Official Transcript Requests
Students who have attended CSUSM may request free official transcripts by sending a written request to:

You must include the following information in your written request:
- Student ID
- Your full name and current address (include city, state, and zipcode) at the time of attendance
- Your daytime phone number (with area code)
- Your email
- The full name and address (include city, state, and zipcode) to which the transcript(s) are to be sent
- The number of official transcripts to send
- Date of your last attendance at CSUSM
- If your degree has not been posted, do you want us to hold it for degree posting?
- Sign and date your request
You may fax your transcript request form or written request to the Office of the Registrar: 760-750-3700.
Financial Holds:
Official transcripts will not be sent if you have any outstanding financial holds. Once your holds have been reconciled, your request will be processed.
Process time:
Official transcripts are mailed within 7-10 business days upon receipt of requests. During the add/drop period, the processing of official transcripts may be delayed a week. Please plan accordingly.
Note: CSU San Marcos does not provide same day service as official transcripts are free and processed within 7-10 business days upon receipt.

1. Who would I contact to verify that CSUSM received my transcript request form?
Ans: Please send an email to registrar@csusm.edu
2. I noticed an incorrect grade on my transcript, what do I do to correct my grade?
Ans: The faculty of the course reported final grades to the Office of the Registrar, and therefore, your faculty will need to submit a Grade Change form to correct your grade.
3. Is there a limit on the number of transcripts I can order?
Ans: No. Your transcipt requests will be processed in the order received.
4. I graduated from CSUSM many years ago and had access to view my academic record online, how can I print or view my unofficial transcript now?
Ans: Students who graduated in the Spring of 2008 or earlier will need to request a free official transcript to view their academic record. Print the transcript order form and fax to 760-750-3700 and we will expedite your request.
