EOP Applications and Acceptance
In order to be considered for admission into the EOP, students must apply to the University as well as to EOP. These are two separate and distinct applications. A complete EOP application includes the Applicant Information Form and two Recommendation Forms. Income information will be verified with students’ 2009/10 FAFSA or 2008 tax information.
Please note that EOP solely conducts Fall admissions and Spring applications are not accepted. Applications may be accessed via CSUMentor or may also bedownloaded from this webpage.
EOP is reserved for undergraduate students who are educationally disadvantagedand who meet EOP income criteria. In addition, students must exhibit academic potential and motivation to succeed, be California residents, and be in need of admission assistance and/or support services forcollege success.
Financial Assistance
EOP students who qualify for financial aid may receive an EOPgrant up to $1000. However, due to limited campus program funding, the average award per student is $500. To be considered, students must have a complete FreeApplication for Federal and Student Aid (FAFSA) on file with the Financial Aid Office. Students will have a better chance of receiving an EOP grant and otherforms of financial aid for which he/she is eligible if they apply each yearbefore March 2nd. Inaddition, students’ financial aid files must be complete by June of eachyear. EOP grants will be awarded only aslong as funds are available.
