Welcome to the Events Information Center for Facility
Services at Cal State University San Marcos.
Below you will find information about the services
offered, the procedures for requesting event set-ups, price list, and
maps of event locations. To assist us with the efficiency of
setting up your event, we ask that all set-up arrangements be made at
least 3 weeks before the date of the event. We appreciate your
cooperation and look forward to servicing your event.

Facility Services offers
the following services to help make your event a success:
 |
Set up of tables, chairs,
lecterns, power cords, trash receptacles in a classroom, conference room
or outdoor venue (see price list) |

Set up of stage and
accessories (in approved areas) |
 |
Coordinate with approved
vendors to supply specialty items such as: canopies, generators, pop
corn machines, table cloths, lighting, porta potties, dumpsters,
balloons, hay bales, ticket booths etc. |

Coordination with the State Fire Marshall for State
Approval which is required for:

All larger events |
 |
All canopies that are 20x20 or larger |
 |
All open flames |

All events on CSUSM property must go through the
Request for Facility Use (RFU) process in order to be approved by
Facility Services (with the exception of chalking, posting signs,
staking signage and some banner posting (see the posting policy in
the Student Residential Life office).

First, fill out an RFU
form. RFU forms are available in the office of Event
Scheduling (FCB 5-108). After you have received approval from ASI, SRL or Foundation, the RFU must be turned into Event Scheduling
for processing.

Your RFU form will go
through the appropriate departments for approval and end up with
Facility Services. Facility Services has the final approval
for all events on campus.

Once we have received
your RFU form, we will be checking to see if you have marked the box
requiring special set-up. If so, you will receive a call from
Ellen Hawthorne (x4613) who will coordinate your event set-up.

Facility Services
requests a 48 hour cancellation notice for any special event set-up.
A 24 hour notification is acceptable for smaller events.
Please take your pink RFU copy or call Event Scheduling and request
the cancellation.
