Economics/Applied Microeconomics

The Economics Department at California State University San Marcos seeks to hire a tenure-track, assistant professor specializing in any applied microeconomics field.

Minimum requirements for the position include:  Ph.D. in Economics must be in hand by August 2014. In addition to upper division courses in their areas of expertise, candidates must be able to teach econometrics and intermediate microeconomic theory. Candidates must have a proven commitment to teaching, and must be able to balance an active research program with service to the department and the university.

Preferred requirements for the position include:  Evidence of effective teaching at the university level, evidence of research productivity, and either dedication to or experience in working with students from diverse backgrounds. Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated intercultural competence with diverse groups in teaching, research and/or service.
