The History Department of California State University, San Marcos seeks to hire a tenure-track, assistant professor specializing in Medieval/Early Modern Europe.
Minimum requirements for the position include: Ph.D. in History must be in hand by August 2014. In addition to upper division, general education, and graduate courses in their areas of expertise, candidates must be able to teach lower division surveys in world history. Candidates must have a proven commitment to teaching, and must be able to balance an active research program with service to the department and the university.
Preferred requirements for the position include: We prefer candidates who have expertise or interest in digital/multi-media history, an emphasis in our curriculum.
