California State University San Marcos' School of Nursing seeks a part-time lecturer for the Advanced Practice Nurse Concentration of the MSN program in the Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Track.  Didactic and clinical courses focus on psychiatric mental health assessment, diagnosis, medication management and psychotherapeutic treatment modalities across the life span.  Clinical teaching responsibilities include oversight of student logs and clinical experiences with preceptors in acute inpatient, urgent care, outpatient and residential settings.

Minimum qualifications for the position include:  a MSN plus currently working as a Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Specialist (an earned doctorate Ph.D., Ed.D., DNP in Nursing is preferred).  Applicants must have state licensure by the California Board of Registered Nursing and be approved to teach in this area.
