California State University San Marcos' Social Work Department accepts applications on an on-going basis for our pool of part-time lecturers. The Department seeks part-time lecturers to teach Addictions: Assessment and Treatment (MSW 667) in 2015/16 academic year (Summer, Fall and Spring).  The course schedules are to be determined. The candidate should have experience in teaching classes and instructional methodology.  Specifically, applicants should have at least two years of applicable training in substance abuse (and the treatment of substance abuse) and/or experience working with a substance abuse treatment facility or agency. 

Minimum Requirements for the position include:  a Masters of Social Work or at least two years of post-Masters research related experience.

Preferred Requirements for the position include:  a doctoral degree in Social Work or in a closely related field.

Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated commitment to diversity and/or intercultural competence with diverse groups in relation to teaching.
