The Department of American Indian Studies at California State University San Marcos seeks part-time lecturers for academic year 2017/18 to teach AIS 101 - Introduction to American Indian Studies. The course meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1pm to 2:15pm and is both lecture and lab. The candidate should have experience in teaching American Indian Studies.
Minimum requirements for the position include: an MA, and demonstrated ability teaching American Indian Studies. The candidate should also have completed graduate-level courses in American Indian Studies.
Preferred requirements for the position include: a Ph.D or equivalent. Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated commitment to diversity and/or intercultural competence with diverse groups in relation to teaching.
Timeline: A review of applications will begin April 26, 2017, however, the position will remain open until filled.
