GEOG 110 - Introduction to Physical Geography (Academic Year 2017/18 )

The Department of Liberal Studies at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer for academic year 2017/18 to teach GEOG 110 – Introduction to Physical Geography.  Candidates should have interests in or experience in teaching a class which: “Examines the place of the earth in the solar system; the seasonal and latitudinal distribution of solar energy; analyzes the many elements of weather, climate, vegetation, and soils; considers the earth's major land forms and the processes that shape them; examines the earth's water system.”

Minimum requirements for the position include:  a Master’s degree in a related field.

Preferred requirements for the position include: a Ph.D. in a related field and experience teaching courses in physical geography.  Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated commitment to diversity and/or intercultural competence with diverse groups in relation to teaching.
