The School of Arts at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer for Fall 2017 to teach VSAR 123 - Introduction to the History of Photography. This is a lecture course that meets on Wednesdays, 2:30-5:20 pm. We are searching for a scholar or artist with background in the history of photography. The course introduces multiple histories of photography, contemporary photographers, and the dynamic forms of photographic and digital images produced today. It also explores the development of photography as an art form and as a conveyor of truth and evidence within the traditions of journalism, advertising, family snapshots, memorials, and more.
