Greetings from the Vice President of Student Affairs

Eloise Stiglitz, Ph.D., Vice President for Student AffairsGreetings parents & families,
On behalf of the entire division of Student Affairs at California State University San Marcos (CSUSM), I wish you a happy holiday season. I sincerely hope that your student has had a successful and rewarding semester.

Student Affairs is a critical part of student life at CSUSM: from class registration to financial aid, from new student orientation to commencement, and from academic support services to rich cultural experiences, we exist to encourage and help students at every step of their college journey.

As we find ourselves at the end of the fall semester, a variety of things are no doubt popping into the minds of families: "Where will my student live next year?", "When are fees due?", "When should I apply for financial aid?" and more. Now is the time to start thinking about decisions and deadlines that will impact your student in the following semester and academic year. In this newsletter, we provide important information on deadlines and opportunities for the coming weeks and semester.

I am also pleased to share information about the Student Emergency Fund. This fund, launched by students for students, is providing much needed aid in a time of crisis. During this holiday season, I encourage you to consider a gift to the Student Emergency Fund. Your gift can make a significant difference in the lives of one or more of our students in crisis. To give to the fund, please go to the CSUSM Giving Page select the option Student Affairs from the "gift to support" drop down menu, and enter "Student Emergency Fund" in the Other Designation.

Thank you for entrusting CSUSM with your student and best wishes for a prosperous and happy new year.

Sincerely,
Eloise Stiglitz, Ph.D.
Vice President for Student Affairs
