Purpose
The Balanced Scorecard Planning Council partners with the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) Core Team to serve as an advisory group and key leadership group charged with initiating, implementing, and enhancing the FAS Balanced Scorecard program. The program includes a variety of activities promoting cultural change to meet the evolving needs of the campus, employee productivity and morale, communications, process improvement, and advising on other matters brought forward for consideration.

Meeting Protocols

·       Agendas and preparatory materials will be sent one week prior to the meeting, and two-hour meetings will be held quarterly.

·       BSC Planning Council members will also hold one pre-scheduled hour per month in case of a need for supplemental meetings.

·       Meetings will include a Strategic Planning Update, topical training, and review of data and initiatives.

·       Through honest analysis based on communication and awareness, the team will monitor the effectiveness of programs and recommend adjustments.

Expectations
Members of the Balanced Scorecard Planning Council have a good understanding of the Balanced Scorecard in the FAS division, engage in the process by preparing in advance for meetings and reading materials provided by the Core Team in order to give timely feedback, provide project approval to the Core Team by reaching consensus as a group ("yes", "no", or "more information needed") on proposed items, and to close the loop by passing the information to FAS managers and staff in their "families."
