Recognition Categories:

Responsibility: This individual takes ownership of actions, seeks out new opportunities and positive solutions, and is consistently reliable.  This person can be counted on to successfully complete tasks and obligations. 

Encouragement: Someone who builds morale and confidence by showing respect for and trust in their coworker’s abilities and contributions.  An employee capable of making a challenge less difficult and creating a more positive and productive work environment by encouraging others.

Service: This person provides outstanding service to both internal and external customers.  They respond to customer inquiries in an exemplary, timely and courteous manner, solve problems or concerns quickly and effectively, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement actions that enhance the way we do business.

Professionalism: Someone who applies their skills, knowledge, and experience to achieve outstanding results.  A person who is consistently at his or her best, demonstrating good work ethics, standards, and techniques. The recipient of this award demonstrates the skill, competence and character expected of his or her profession.

Excellence: This person performs above and beyond what is expected.  Attitude, customer service, initiative, and leadership are among the traits exhibited by this individual.  Dedication and hard work are a part of their nature and they give of their time and effort to see that projects are successful and deadlines are met.

Collaborative: This person exemplifies the word “teamwork.” This is a person who is happy to pitch in, and strives to create a win-win situation.  Cooperation could be his or her middle name!

Trustworthy: Someone who is dependable and honest.  This person can be counted on to follow through on commitments, keep information confidential when needed, acts credibly, and is generally thought of as an upright individual.

MVP: A Manager who is most Valued by their Peers.  This MPP continually practices FAS Leadership culture by demonstrating respect, trust, professionalism, responsibility, and collaboration to the FAS Division and the campus community.

MVSA: This Most Valued Student Assistant continually supports FAS leadership culture by demonstrating respect, trust, professionalism, responsibility and collaboration to the FAS Division and the campus community.
