Systems Operations and Development

Systems Operations and Development provides technical and operations support to the users of finance and other administrative automated systems. Services include planning and managing system change, technical assistance in system error analysis and correction, functional analysis of user requirements, system design and analysis, program coding and testing, documentation preparation, conduct technical training, project planning and management and computer operations support.  Our clients include Fiscal Operations, Student Financial Services, Accounts Receivable users, Management, Finance and Administrative staff, Instructional and Information Technology Services, and Divisional and Departmental Budget Managers.

  • Completed in-house PeopleSoft operational user training for all Systems Operations staff.
  • Developed interfaces from Banner to PeopleSoft.
  • Processed General Ledger data conversion from Banner to PeopleSoft.
  • Processed Vendor conversion for Banner to PeopleSoft.
  • Developed monthly processes for Labor Cost Distribution.
  • Developed queries to assist accounting with the daily cash reconciliation.
  • Upgraded Banner Student to version 6.0. 
  • Eliminated reverted funds from Banner SAM reports.
  • Maintained and improved Banner Crosswalks.
  • Tested and processed over 11,000 1098T forms per IRS regulations.   
  • Implemented electronic filing for 1098T reporting to the IRS.
  • Acquired a check printer for CMS and installed in the project room for use and testing.
  • Completed converting all SAM reporting to local laser printers which allowed the reports to be printed on 8½ by 11 paper rather than green-bar paper
  • Implemented Accounts Receivables (non-student) on Banner which allowed for automated billings and aging of accounts.
  • Created reports and processes to assist Student Financial Services in their account reconciliations.
  • Developed Banner Brios for consolidating the trust funds to assist in Financial reporting.
  • Moved from the Ranch to Craven.
