Peer Coaching Faculty Fellow Opportunity

The Peer
Coaching Faculty Fellow (PC-FF) works with the Faculty Center Director to
sustain and develop the Peer Coaching Program. The Peer Coaching Program
functions to create supportive, peer-based mentoring relationships that focus on
the improvement of student learning and the organization of effective evidence
in the area of instruction for the WPAF.
The PC-FF has the following responsibilities:
•Conduct
an orientation session for new Peer Coaches early in fall semester;
• Facilitate group meetings (1-2 per semester) for all Peer Coaches;
• Work with individual Peer Coach pairs, as needed, to assist them in
articulating goals and working toward them;
• Ensure that the call for new Peer Coaches goes out each Spring for the
following academic year;
• Oversee the selection process for new Peer Coaches; and
•Bring new information pertinent to the Peer Coaching process to the attention
of Peer Coaches.
Eligibility:
Any tenure-line faculty is eligible to apply. Preferably the PC-FF will have
• Completed a year as a Peer Coach prior to applying for the position;
•
Established a record of commitment to faculty development.
Time Commitment:
2-3 hours per week (average over semester)
Benefit:
Stipend is approximately $500 for travel/supplies (dependent on budget)

for WPAFs) by :
April 6, 2007
Selection Process:
The
Faculty Center Director will review all
applications. You will be notified no later than April 30, 2007.
