Faculty Fellow Opportunities
Two Faculty Fellow Positions the Faculty Center provides faculty the opportunity to cultivate their leadership skills and interests in faculty development by serving as a Faculty Center Faculty Fellow. The Faculty Center recruits for the Faculty Mentoring Program Faculty Fellow (FMP-FF) and the Peer Coaching Faculty Fellow (PC-FF). All tenure-track faculty are eligible to apply. We especially welcome applications from faculty who have participated in the programs as individuals and who are now interested in taking on leadership responsibilities. Faculty Center faculty fellows work in a pivotal area of university-level service.

The Faculty Mentoring Program provides volunteer faculty mentors the opportunity to promote academic success in at-risk students, who benefit from one-on-one mentoring relationships, group activities and support for graduate school admission. The FMP-FF collaborates with the Faculty Center Director and support staff to supervise the program which usually enrolls some seventy students and seventy faculty.

The Peer Coaching program uses the model of professional peer mentoring, with a focus on formative improvement of pedagogy. Faculty participants are matched with a faculty colleague from a different division or college but a similar goal. The PC-FF collaborates with the Faculty Center Director and support staff to supervise the peer coach teams, which typically number about twenty. Click for full announcement.
