• Coordinate and oversee the current plan and workshops developed by the Faculty Center and SJEP;
• Take input and feedback from the faculty community to refine offerings in the plan and introduce new opportunities;
• Report to the Faculty Center Advisory Council (FCAC) on progress made
• Collaborate with the Director of SJEP and other entities on campus to plan workshops, events, and forums;
• Collaborate with the Faculty Center’s Mentoring Program Faculty Fellow (FMP-FF) to include faculty in the FMP in events and workshops ;
- Identify and provide information about off-campus training opportunities;
- Recommend goals and objectives for enhancing faculty understanding of diversity and multiculturalism.
Eligibility: Any tenure-line faculty is eligible to apply. Preferably the Faculty Fellow will
• Be actively engaged in the area of diversity and multiculturalism;
• Be sensitive to issues related to diversity;
• Be familiar with and skilled in the development of workshops; and
• Have the strong interpersonal skills that will facilitate providing support to faculty.
Time Commitment: The Faculty Fellow should be prepared to serve in this position for three (3) semesters beginning in Spring 2011.
Compensation: The Faculty Fellow will receive $2500.00 for the Spring 2011 semester and 1 course release for AY 2011-12. The Faculty Fellow may use the compensation to supplement travel, to purchase professional development materials, or as a stipend.

Faculty Fellow For Diversity and Multiculturalism
The Diversity and Multiculturalism Faculty Fellow will work with the Faculty Center Advisory Council and the Director of the Social Justice and Equity Project to sustain and provide leadership in developing and implementing diversity and multicultural training workshops and opportunities for faculty.
