Using the Campus Template
or META information
You may print this page if you feel the need, but we will be updating it as
needed so the online copy will always be most up-to-date.
CSUSM Redesign Requirements and Template:

To import saved template form from the Redesign Site to your Front Page web:
- Open your Front Page web.
- Use the menu: File > Import...
- From the Import pop-up window click the "From Web..." button
- From the Import Web Wizard pop-up window elect the radio button "From a
World Wide Web Site" and type:
http://www.csusm.edu/csusmredesign/temp_nocolumnexam.htm
as your "Location:"
Note: Saves the file temp_nocolumnexam.htm to your "root web folder"
- From your web "Folder List:", open (by double clicking)
temp_nocolumnexam.htm
- Note: when you double click "temp_nocolumnexam.htm"
from your Folder List, you will be prompted to
log on; simply click cancel (this is asking you to log onto the web where the
style sheet and image information is saved... so you could make changes to the
actual template file for the whole campus).
- Go to the HTML source by clicking the button pictured here:

- Change the four META tag values for: author, owner, review-date, and
expiration-date.
- Click back to Normal (next to the HTML source button) to return to normal
editing mode.
- Change the "Help for this Site" link in the upper right corner of this
page to email your site contact person
- Change aspects of the page to fit your needs.
If you want to preserve the unique look and feel of your web page(s), you
may use only the META information from requested in the campus.
- Add
<meta name="author" value="YOUR DEPARTMENT AUTHOR">
<meta name="owner" value="YOUR DEPARTMENT NAME">
<meta http-equiv="review-date" value="YOUR REVIEW DATE">
<meta http-equiv="expiration-date" value="WHEN YOUR PAGE
EXPIRES">
to the <HEAD></HEAD> section of your web pages
- Modify the "value" elements of the META tags, above so it reflects your
site information
