Giving is Growing

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the Gender Equity Center relies on the generosity of people like you to provide many of our services. We are able to offer important supplies and resource directly to CSUSM students because of in-kind and monetary gifts. Did you know that 98% of our library, and 100% of our emergency supplies (condoms, dental dams, tampons, diapers) were donated items?

You can ensure CSUSM students are still able to access all the vital services the Gender Equity Center offers. Please consider making a tax-deductable donation today.

Lending Library

It is estimated that on average, college students spend between $300-$500 per semester on textbooks. This is a cost many of our students simply cannot handle. That is why the Gender Equity Center lending library is so important.

Our library includes many books students need for classes. We stock books required for courses including business, math, science, English, sociology, women's studies, and anthropology. We check books more than 300 books every year. But with your help, we can do better. We want to ensure that all students, regardless of socioeconomic status, have equal access to the books they need to succeed.

Please consider donating to the Gender Equity Center Lending Library in one of these three ways:

1.  Purchase new or used books or DVDs from our Amazon wishlist and have them mailed directly to the  Center.

2.  Donate your old books. Old textbooks and books on gender issues are particularly appreciated.

3.  Make a cash donation to the Gender Equity Center in any amount. Checks can be made out to "CSUSM Associated Students, Inc." with "Gender Equity Center Library" in the notes line. We will use your donation to purchase much-needed books for the library.

In-Kind Donations

In-kind donations are always welcome. These donations may be dropped off at the Women's Center, FCB 5-102, and go directly for CSUSM students. Please see our wishlist for some of our most-needed items.

Payroll Deduction

If you are a CSUSM employee, please consider making a monthly donation to the Women's Center through a payroll deduction. Just $5-$10 a month will help to ensure that the Center can provide community, support, and services on campus. If it is important to you that CSUSM has a voice for gender equity and justice, contribute to the Gender Equity Center.
