Work for the Gender Equity Center!

Every year the Gender Equity Center hires students to do education, programming, and create inclusive communities. Our hiring process happens in March of every year.

We offer several kinds of internships, from academic to activist. To learn about the different kinds of internships currently available, and how to sign up,go to our Internships page.

Volunteers are an essential part of the Gender Equity Center family. Volunteers assist with events, help research referrals and services, assist with marketing, and more!

The Gender Equity Center accepts volunteers on an on-going and one-time basis. For more information, or to get started, email genderequity@csusm.edu

Be a STAR!

Students Talking About Relationships & Sex (STARS) is a peer education prevention program that utilizes interactive theater and dialogue to transform individual behaviors andcreate positive social change. STARS educates students on sexual assault, relationship abuse and bystander intervention, and empowers peer educators to become advocates for a safe, healthy, and inclusive CSUSM community.

STARS works with a cohort of 12-15 students who volunteer their time to make a difference on campus. These STARS educate their peers in classrooms and at special events.
