Childcare & Education Services
Center for Children and Families at CSUSM
The on-campus childcare center at CSUSM, CCF provides convenient, quality childcare to the students, faculty, and staff of CSUSM. Reduced rates and scholarships are available to qualifying CSUSM students.
YMCA Childcare Resource Service
A leader in meeting the needs of families, early care and education programs, and the child care community. Services include childcare subsidies, referrals, and respite care.
California Childcare Resource & Referral Network
Provides leadership and vision for the continuous development and improvement of resource and referral services statewide, helping to build, support, and advocate for a quality childcare system that supports the diversity of families and children in every community in California.
2-1-1/ Parenting Link
Offers a comprehensive database of parenting classes and in-home parenting support programs.

First Five San Diego
First 5 San Diego promotes the health and well being of young children during their most critical years of development, from the prenatal stage through five years of age. Our goal is to help ensure that every child in San Diego County enters school ready to succeed.
California Parent Information Resource Center
The California Parent Information Resource Center (PIRC) 2 helps parents become more involved in their children¿s education and assists schools with the implementation of successful and effective parental involvement policies and programs that lead to improvements in student academic achievement.
Educational Enrichment Systems
Provides subsidized child care for low-income families with children ages three to five years at Linda Vista Child Development Center, Vista State Preschool, and the following preschools on the San Marcos Unified School District's Elementary School campuses: Alvin Dunn, Knob Hill, Richland, and San Marcos; ages six weeks to five years at Oceanside Child Development Center; six weeks to three years at Linda Vista Infant Toddler Center.
Child Development Program
Operates 2 child development centers serving families with young children. Centers serve low-income families in the community and participants in other North County Serenity House programs. Provides activities that educate, support, and engage families to utilize community resources and information. Offers early childhood assessment services. Also provides parenting education through parent teacher meetings and parent groups.
Gender Equity Center Lactation Space
The Gender Equity Center has a private room available for all mothers to pump or nurse during the day. We also have a refrigerator to safely store pumped milk until it's time to go home.
San Diego WIC
Provides breastfeeding support staff and lactation educators, and breastfeeding education and support.

- The San Diego County Breastfeeding Coalition is a non-profit association whose mission is to promote and support breastfeeding through education, outreach and advocacy in our community.
- La Leche League
Helps mothers worldwide to breastfeed through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information, and education, and to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and mother.
- National Breastfeeding Helpline
The National Breastfeeding Helpline from the Office on Women¿s Health has trained breastfeeding peer counselors to provide support by phone. The counselors can help answer common breastfeeding questions. They can also help you decide if you need to see a doctor or lactation consultant. The Helpline is available for all breastfeeding mothers, partners, prospective parents, family members, and health professionals seeking to learn more about breastfeeding.

Empowers women to choose to breastfeed and to educate society at large about the importance and benefits of breastfeeding.
Free Immunizations
For children two years and under, no appointment needed. Bring shot record. Call: 619.692.6600
Provides general outpatient medical care. Offers health screening, Child Health and Disability Prevention (CHDP) exams, and well baby care; pediatrics and immunizations. Provides medical care to homeless clients each month at no charge and provides services to eligible County Medical Services (CMS) and Medically Indigent Services Program (MISP) clients.
Vista Community Clinic
Provides general outpatient primary medical care for adults and children. Offers primary care services including family planning, internal medicine, health screenings including blood pressure screening, cancer detection, diabetes screening, STD testing, tuberculosis screening, hearing and eye evaluations, and geriatric assessments. Also offers Child Health and Disability Prevention (CHDP) exams, well-baby care, prenatal evaluations, immunizations, and pediatrics. CMS services are provided at all clinic sites. Also offers Project Access and Surgery Day events.
San Diego Parent
A parenting support network of more than 3,500 San Diego families. Learning from each other as parents and helping each other as friends, Parent Connection members share experiences and information, enjoy social activities and build lasting relationships. Our membership encompasses both first-time and seasoned parents. All San Diego County families are invited to join as we help you face the wonderful challenges of parenting.
