The Office of University Events provides meaningful events and celebrations to highlight University and community partnerships. These special events not only increase the visibility and connectedness that California State University San Marcos has with the community, but allows us an opportunity to acknowledge our generous donors, reconnect our alumni with the University, and recognize significant milestones in the University’s history.
Our most important annual event is Commencement. Our graduates are shining examples of the quality of our academic instruction, with their mastery of course work, increased global awareness, and proficiency in technology, writing, and a foreign language. Thousands of new leaders enter the work force every year, with nearly 89% remaining in San Diego County.
Our annual fundraiser gala event, usually held in April, celebrates our accomplishments and collaborations with our community.
