Suzanne Moineau, Ph.D., CCC/SLP
CSUSM Associate Professor
Dr. Suzanne Moineau is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Speech-Language Pathology at CSUSM. She was hired in 2006 to develop, launch and direct the Master of Arts in Education, Option in Communicative Sciences and Disorders (CSD). Since the initial launch in 2010, the MA, Option in CSD has attracted students from all over the country with an application pool of nearly 300 students annually. Dr. Moineau has been a creative visionary in developing a community-based clinic with an academic program focused on developing applied practice skills. In 2012, Dr. Moineau was the recipient of the California Speech-Language Hearing Association's Outstanding Achievement Award for her contributions and achievement in Clinical Service and Teaching in CSD. She currently serves as the Vice President of the California Council of Academic Programs in CSD where she works with state-wide program directors to promote and advance pedagogy, clinical education and research in the field. Dr. Moineau brings to her classroom and department 18 years of experience as a medical Speech-Language Pathologist. Dr. Moineau has an MBA in Professional Accounting from Rutgers University, an MA in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Iowa and a Ph.D. in Language and Communicative Disorders from the JDP at UCSD/SDSU.
