New International Students are coming this Fall semester…help them feel welcomed and connected to our great campus by becoming an International Friend!
All currently registered students at CSUSM are eligible to apply.  Don't miss out on this wonderful opportunity to positively impact a new student's life and gain a new friend!
The International Friendship Program involves the following commitment:

  • Meeting your new student(s) as soon as possible upon arrival to CSUSM.

  • Assisting them with getting connected to the campus.

  • Contacting them at least 2 times a month in the Fall semester.

  • Seeing them in person at least 2 times a month in the Fall Semester.

  • Attending International Coffee Hours with your student, if possible.

  • Attending a celebratory reception here at Global Education at the End of the Semester with your student(s)!!

All participants will receive a certificate of appreciation at the end of the Fall Semester. This is a great opportunity to meet new students while developing future resume and job skills. You all know what it feels like to be NEW..and looking for friends and connections.
