International Friendship Program

We are very excited that you are joining the International and Exchange student population here at Cal State San Marcos! We know it can be overwhelming to transition to a new country, a new school or even just a new city. There are many new things to see and do in your first semester. Therefore, we encourage you to join our International Friendship Program!

The International Friendship Program will connect you with a current student here at CSUSM who will be able to answer some of your questions about getting started here at CSUSM, show you the campus and surrounding areas!

All newly admitted International and Exchange students are eligible to apply. Don't miss out on this wonderful opportunity to learn important information from a current student and gain a new friend!

The International Friendship Program involves the following commitment:

• Meeting your student/friend as soon as possible upon arrival to CSUSM. We will help arrange for this to happen.

• Connect with your student/friend at least 2 times a month in the Fall semester.

• Seeing them in person at least 2 times a month in the Fall Semester.

• Attending International Coffee Hours (and/or other activities) with your student/friend, if possible.

• Attending a celebratory reception here at Global Education at the End of the Semester with your student/friend!!

All participants will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the Fall Semester. This is a great opportunity to connect with other students and make some new friends! Please consider this opportunity by filling out the application below!!
