Study @ CSU San Marcos Application Checklist
Please collect all documentation that needs to be attached with the application. If you are emailing your application, only scanned documents will be accepted.
Applicants must attach scanned copies of:
- Original bank statement dated within the last six months and/or a Financial Guarantee/Scholarship
Letter
- To receive an I-20, you must provide a financial statement certifying that you have enough funds for tuition and living expenses while you are in the United States. The amount of funds you need will depend on the cost and length of the program. Your estimated costs can be found using the ALCI fee chart.
- A Valid Passport
- $150 USD Application Fee payment
- Please use one of the ALCI Payment Options
- TOEFL, IELTS or DAAD score (or equivalent proof of English proficiency as agreed upon
by CSUSM-ALCI)
- Visit Proof of Academic English Ability for additional information and test scores by country
- College or university transcripts in English
- List of courses you are currently taking in English
- Complete the online Study@CSUSM Course Pre-Planning Form
Note: Your ALCI Academic Coordinator will contact you to discuss class schedules and other important topics at a later date.
Additonal Requirements for Graduate Applicants:
- Proof of Bachelor's Degree
- Personal Statement
- Resume/Curriculum Vitae
- Letter of Recommendation
- Graduate program verification and transcripts
Graduate applicants will also be reviewed by the respective department for academic eligibility.
