Welcome Global Partners and Friends,

Campus is buzzing with the energy of new students and I would once again like to extend a warm welcome to campus and this year's Traveling Tukwut Study Abroad Fair on Tuesday, October 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in front of our new University Student Union.

Our university is growing at a rapid-fire pace, with a student enrollment now over 13,500 students in a wide variety of undergraduate majors.  The most popular fields continue to be Business, Communication, Kinesiology, Nursing, Psychology, Human Development and Spanish though we are seeing quite a diversity of majors in our study abroad participants. 

This year's fair registration is $90, plus $15 for each additional representative (including lunch), made payable by check or money order to California State University San Marcos by October 15, 2014.

Remit payments with indemnification forms and proof of liability insurance to:

Registration costs include advertising, a table, chair, one box lunch, and parking. Registrations received after the October 15th deadline are deemed late and subject to a $15 late fee.  No registrations will be accepted after October 22.  Space is limited and first come, first served.

One can never tell what the weather will be in October in North San Diego, but typically we have absolutely gorgeous temperatures in the 70s with lots of sun.  As a reminder, our campus sits perched on a hill overlooking the city, so we are frequently subject to wind gusts.  All that is to say, wear sunblock, layered clothing, and bring LOTS of paper weights for your materials! 

Be sure to unload your materials in Chavez Circle directly in front of the new Student Union to use the Union's elevator to move to the main event level (4th floor).  You will be parking in the parking structure to the right of the Student Union and could also use the elevator to the fifth floor and cross over the bridge to campus.  You will find a student volunteer or myself at the foot of the stairs at Chavez Circle to direct you.  PLEASE NOTE:  THIS IS A NEW LOCATION FROM PREVIOUS YEARS.

As a reminder, our office can only accommodate a small number of materials (6-10 copies of viewbooks).  Please make plans to take excess materials with you from the fair.  You may ship items beginning two weeks prior to the fair in clearly marked boxes labeled HOLD FOR STUDY ABROAD FAIR/Name of Provider to the following address:

DO NOT send the articles to my campus address directly or I will have to move each of your boxes myself as in years past.
